Cooking with Zoe and Dad!!!

           Hello and welcome back to my blog!


Yesterday I did some cooking with my Dad and we made  Chocolate biscuits and chocolate Eclairs!


Chocolate Eclairs are with Pastry with chocolate icing and whipped cream in the middle. They taste really good!

Here is the photos of the Eclairs we made different types of them we did swirling ones and long straight line ones.

  1. Wow those eclairs look great! This was a great activity to do and then blog about. I have tried to make them before and not had great success. What is the secret to a great eclair?

    I am not really sure my dad use to be a chef. the type pastry was Shoe pastry and then my dad made the icing but we waited for them to call down then we did the cream in the afternoon.Then we had them for dessert

  4. Heres the Secret recipe to a great Eclair

    1 Cup of Water

    120g Butter

    Pinch Salt

    2 teaspoons Sugar

    1 Cup and 2 Tablespoons of Flour

    4 Large Eggs



    Bring the water, butter, sugar and salt to the boil
    Add in the flour, remove from heat and mix thoroughly into a dough
    Transfer the dough to cake mixer, beat for 3 minutes to allow it to cool
    Put eggs into a jug, and add in four separate stages. Beat after every stage till combined
    Pipe eclairs / profiteroles


    Bake at 200 for 10 minutes, then lower to 140 for 30 min
